for multiple types of diving, whether you’re a recreational or technical scuba
diver, spear fisher or a freediver. Descent G1 is enabled with GPS to help
mark your surface entry and exit points. Pair with the Garmin Dive℠smartphone
app to upload, share and review dives, and you can store your favorite dive
site locations right on your wrist. Descent G1 also doubles as a smartwatch
with built-in sports apps and performance tracking features like VO2 max. When
paired with your compatible smartphone, get smart notifications on your wrist,
pay for post-dive lunch with Garmin Pay℠contactless payments (with a
supported country and payment network), and personalize your experience with
support from the Connect IQ℠Store. Reach your health goals with wrist-based
heart rate, activity and sleep tracking (this device is intended to give an
estimate of your activity and metrics.)

Does the Descent G1 support air integration?

Yes - via the optional Garmin Descent T1 transmitter using SubWave sonar technology to relay tank pressure underwater. Without the T1, the G1 is a full dive computer without wireless tank pressure display.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 21 days in smartwatch mode and approximately 40 hours in active dive mode per charge. A G1 Solar variant extends battery via solar harvesting during surface use.

What decompression algorithm does the G1 use?

Buehlmann ZHL-16c - a widely respected algorithm used in many professional dive computers, providing real-time NDL calculations and deco stop guidance when limits are exceeded.

Can I wear the G1 as an everyday watch?

Absolutely - the G1 is a full multisport smartwatch. It tracks steps, heart rate, sleep, and stress, and supports 30+ sport activity profiles with Garmin Connect integration.
