Registration for the will open on Sunday, March 9th. The 2025 Spring Session will take place from April 7th through June 1st 2025. The session will be 8 weeks long.

Ashley is a certified Swim Instructor Trainer with Starfish Aquatics Institute. SAI has paired up with PADI Swim Schools to offer an innovative and learner-focused curriculum using an “ages and stages” format with swim and safety benchmarks to insure a positive experience for children of all ages and skill levels. As a Red Cross certified lifeguard, Ashley knows what it takes to introduce your little ones to the water safely.
Ashley has brought her passion for teaching children safety in and around the water through a fun filled curriculum to Santa Barbara Aquatics and looks forward to bringing the joy of swimming to kids of all ages!
My name is Trinity Patron and I am a third year at UCSB. I grew up in the water. I have always felt like it was my second home. I swam competitively and played water polo for about nine years. I have been teaching and lifeguarding for about 4 years now. Teaching kids how to swim has become such a passion of mine! I love being able to be a part of a program like Santa Barbara Aquatics where I can watch my students improve and develop a love for swimming.
Hey! I’m Vivien and I am first-year Economics major at UCSB! I started swimming competitively at the age of 9 and played competitive water polo once I entered high school. I also participated in the junior lifeguard program growing up where I eventually began teaching ocean safety and how to swim in the ocean. It is very rewarding for me to be a part of kids journeys in learning to swim because it is where I fell in love with swim and everything that has to do with being in the water!
Hi I’m Thea! I just recently graduated from UCSB. I’ve been teaching swim lessons for about 8 years now, and have been lifeguarding for the past 5. I grew up swimming and playing water polo, and in my free time I coach the women’s club water polo team at UCSB! I started teaching at Santa Barbara Aquatics at the beginning of this year, and it’s so great to see how much the students improve their swimming skills over the course of the program, as well as become more comfortable in the water. I think water safety is extremely important, and it’s awesome to share my love for swimming!
Hi everyone, my name is Ella Eckholm and I’m a third year at SBCC. I went to Auburn University my first year of college, attended a semester back home in Naperville Illinois, and moved out here so I can get instate before I transfer to UCSB! I’ve been a swimmer since I was 4 and played waterpolo as well for a large portion of my life. I coached swim for 5 years and love the community aquatic sports bring. I also enjoy creating, making music, practicing yoga, coffee, and of course, working at Santa Barbara Aquatics:) Can’t wait to meet you all!
