After that, you will spend one weekend in the pool learning all of the basic skills necessary to scuba dive safely with your classmates. the following weekend you will complete at least four dives in the ocean. Online eLearning - Begin your scuba diving journey by enrolling in the PADI eLearning course from the comfort of your own home.

Dedicate approximately 8-10 hours to complete the interactive modules, quizzes, and knowledge reviews at your own pace. Gain a solid foundation of scuba diving theory, equipment knowledge, and safety procedures.

Week 1

Orientation Night: Thursday

Join us on Thursday night from 6-8pm for an informative session where you'll meet your instructors, review the academics, and receive important guidelines and information.

Pool Training (Saturday and Sunday)

Immerse yourself in an exciting weekend of pool training, where you'll apply your knowledge and practice essential scuba skills.

Join us on Saturday and Sunday for comprehensive pool sessions led by our experienced instructors. Learn and master equipment usage, buoyancy control, underwater communication, and more. Engage in group exercises and practice scenarios to enhance your diving abilities. Interact and bond with fellow divers, sharing the excitement of your underwater exploration.

Week 2

Open Water Dives (Saturday and Sunday)

Embark on a thrilling weekend of open water dives to put your skills into action.

On Saturday, experience the beauty of a beach dive, exploring the wonders beneath the waves at a nearby coastal location.

On Sunday, embark on an unforgettable adventure to the Channel Islands, where you'll complete three dives in the breathtaking marine environment.

Dive alongside your instructors, who will provide guidance and support throughout the dives. Discover the wonders of marine life and create unforgettable memories.

Course Cost Includes:

PADI eLearning, rental of scuba gear, PADI certification fees, logbook and group tuition.

Course Requirements:

Minimum age of 10 years (Junior Open Water Diver) or 15 years (Open Water Diver). Students under the age of 15 must take a private class.

Adequate swimming skills and good physical health.

No prior experience with scuba diving required.

Additional Costs: Scuba quality personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves all available for purchase at Santa Barbara Aquatics with a 10% discount), $195 boat dive fee for Channel Islands dive trip
