eLearning
Complete the PADI eLearning modules from home at your own pace, including all required sections plus Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, and Boat Diving. This foundational knowledge prepares you for the specialty dives ahead and deepens your understanding of advanced diving techniques.

Training
Your in-water training takes place over one exciting weekend—no pool sessions required.
On Saturday, complete two beach dives at a local site, typically Refugio State Beach from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. On Sunday, you will board the Spectre Dive Boat out of Ventura Harbor for three dives at the Channel Islands. Each of the five dives will focus on a unique specialty: Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, and Boat Diving. You will board at 6:00 am and return to shore around 4:00 pm, with breakfast, lunch, beverages, desert, and a hot tub available for your convenience!

Course Cost Includes
The course fee includes all five specialty dives (2 beach, 3 boat), online eLearning access, and PADI certification fees. Dive instruction and boat passage are also included.

Prerequisites
Participants must be at least 15 years old (those younger may complete the course through private instruction). You must be Open Water certified and have your own personal gear: mask, fins, boots, snorkel, and gloves. Rental scuba gear is included in the class, although it is recommended to build your own kit as you advance through your dive training. All gear is available at Santa Barbara Aquatics with a 10% student discount and a guaranteed fit policy.
