eLearning
Start with the PADI Drysuit Diver eLearning, which takes approximately 2–4 hours to complete. This online portion covers the fundamentals of drysuit diving, including drysuit types, basic maintenance, and how to avoid common issues. It’s a flexible way to build your knowledge before your in-water sessions.

Training
Your in-water training includes one pool session and one ocean dive day. You'll learn how to control air in the drysuit, manage buoyancy, and handle common drysuit scenarios. Your instructor will guide you through essential skills to build your comfort and confidence in colder water conditions.

Course Cost Includes
The course fee is $250 and includes PADI eLearning access, pool and ocean training sessions, certification fees, and rental of standard scuba gear. Drysuit and undergarment rental is available for an additional cost. We're happy to assist with purchasing gear suited to your comfort and diving goals.

Prerequisites
You must be a certified Open Water Diver and at least 10 years old. Personal gear—mask, fins, boots, snorkel, and gloves—is required. These items are available for purchase at Santa Barbara Aquatics with a 10% student discount. Drysuit ownership or rental is also required.
