Reviews

Frequently Asked Questions?

Is the Magellan HD suitable for cold water?

Yes - 41 lb of lift offsets a 7mm suit, steel tank, and a generous lead load. Many divers use it year-round, not just for travel.

How much weight fits the integrated pockets?

Up to 8.8 lb combined in XS-SM and 13.2 lb in MD-XL; add belt weight if you need more.

Does it pack flat for airline travel?

Yes - no rigid frame; the soft back pad lets the whole BCD fold or roll into a carry-on.

Magellan vs Magellan HD?

The HD adds X-tra Comfort Cushioning on the backplate, upgraded ergonomic shoulders, and an improved weight system over the original - same fold-flat travel bladder.
