How much weight can the Prestige SLS carry?

SLS pockets: 9 lb each (XXS-SM) or 13 lb each (MD-XL) ditchable, plus two 5 lb non-releasable rear trim pockets - roughly 28-36 lb total by size.

Is it good for beginners?
