The Zena BCD represents the next generation of buoyancy control devices, expertly crafted to meet the diverse needs of female divers everywhere. With Zeagle’s Personal Fit System (PFS), you can customize measurements for a truly tailored fit, ensuring maximum comfort on every dive.

Women’s bodies have a defined waistline where a waistband must fasten to secure the BC. However, with shorter torso lengths and a lower center of buoyancy, traditional buoyancy systems must sit higher, around the narrowest part of the waist, compromising comfort and balance. The Zena’s innovative twin waist and hip band system allows weights and buoyancy to be positioned below the waist, aligning with the body’s center of buoyancy for improved stability and comfort while diving.

The whole air cell sits behind you; the front is a slim harness with chest and waist straps.

How is the Zena sized differently from other BCDs?

By three independent measurements - waist, torso (shoulder to hip), and bust - via the Personal Fit System. Measure all three and match to the ranges; if you span two sizes, size up on the dimension that matters most for comfort.

Why does the Zena position weights below the waist?

Women typically have a lower center of buoyancy than men. Standard mid-torso weight placement sits too high on many female divers, tilting them in the water. The Zena's twin-waistband design puts ballast where it counteracts lower-body buoyancy, making horizontal trim natural.

Does the Zena work for travel?

Yes - at 6.2 lb it's Zeagle's lightest Ripcord-equipped BCD, folds compactly, and its 34 lb of lift covers tropical through temperate wetsuit diving.

Can I swap the front color panel?

Yes - front panels are an inexpensive separate accessory in multiple colors, part of the Zena's modular design. Contact us for color customization.
