Registration for the 2026 Winter Session will open on Sunday, November 23rd 2025. This session will take place from January 5th to March 1st 2026. The session will be 8 weeks long.

Ashley is a certified Swim Instructor Trainer with Starfish Aquatics Institute. SAI has paired up with PADI Swim Schools to offer an innovative and learner-focused curriculum to achieve swim and safety benchmarks. Ashley’s goal is to insure a positive experience for children of all ages and skill levels. Ashley meets each child where they are at in their swimming journey and strives to gain each students trust and provide a curriculum that challenges them.
Ashley has brought her passion for teaching children safety in and around the water through a fun filled curriculum to Santa Barbara Aquatics and looks forward to bringing the joy of swimming to kids of all ages!
Hi, my name is Samantha and I have always loved being in the water. I was a competitive swimmer for 8 years, winning a league title in high school. I also played water polo for 5 years and was captain of a Junior Olympic team. As a current aquatic biology major at UCSB, I surf and scuba. Throughout the years, my passion for water safety has remained strong. I want to help your kids feel confident in the water using years of drills and experience. I can’t wait to share my love of the water with your kiddos!
My name is Trinity Patron and I am a third year at UCSB. I grew up in the water. I have always felt like it was my second home. I swam competitively and played water polo for about nine years. I have been teaching and lifeguarding for about 4 years now. Teaching kids how to swim has become such a passion of mine! I love being able to be a part of a program like Santa Barbara Aquatics where I can watch my students improve and develop a love for swimming.
Hi, my name is Sasha, and I’m a third-year student at UCSB studying Economics and Accounting. I grew up doing competitive swimming and love everything about the ocean, whether it’s surfing, snorkeling, or just being in the water! I hope to share my love for swimming and the ocean with all the kids and help them feel confident and have fun in the water!
Hey! I’m Vivien and I am first-year Economics major at UCSB! I started swimming competitively at the age of 9 and played competitive water polo once I entered high school. I also participated in the junior lifeguard program growing up where I eventually began teaching ocean safety and how to swim in the ocean. It is very rewarding for me to be a part of kids journeys in learning to swim because it is where I fell in love with swim and everything that has to do with being in the water!
My name is Kaylee van Voorn and I am a second year English and political science student at UCSB! My hometown is Utrecht, The Netherlands and in my free time I play field hockey, snowboard, and play the guitar.
